Scottish Castle Weddings

Castles for weddings in Scotland really do represent the pinnacle of beauty, and an amazing start to the most important day of your life. There are a number of wedding castles spread throughout the country providing a huge selection from which to choose from.

The castles obviously offer a stunning backdrop to weddings but also provide unique amenities depending on location. Those with hotel-style facilities may, for example, offer wedding guests free use of hydrotherapy facilities. If the castle has many bedrooms then these may be bookable by the wedding party at a discount. It's always best to talk to the booking staff directly.

Having a Scottish castle wedding has a number of benefits:

  • Choice – from rustic, traditional locations to grand palaces with sweeping grounds, you can find a location that really suits your dreams
  • Stunning scenery – with such beautiful backdrops your wedding photography will be truly memorable
  • Period accommodation – spend your wedding night in a period room with original furniture and grand four poster bed
  • Civil and religious ceremonies – the castles offer both religious and civil ceremonies to cater for all parties
  • Civil partnerships – if you're looking for castles that sanction civil partnerships these are also spread throughout Scotland
